Sounds good. The DB stuff should not be too much work as the public API seems pretty stable. However as a first step I would just like to return the mtime from put and store this in the DB (
http://www.conduit-project.org/browser/trunk/conduit/Synchronization.py#L30). Lets get this done first and then see if it solves a number of problems as it should.
