New Chronopic (cheaper, easier)

Juan Fernando Pardo has created a new Chronopic. Until now, we were
using a Skypic with a expansion card and chronopic firmware. This
system works but it has lot more technology than we need, and it's a
bit expensive for some countries.

Juan Fernando has created a home made board only with the things
needed for Chronopic. He builded in one hour, and the total price was
22 US$ (in Argentina). This 22US$ are divided in 18 for the PIC, and 4
for the rest. Keep in mind that the components are standard and it
should be possible to build in any country.

In the future we will create an industrial design of Juan Fernando
Chronopic. Help on this topic will be welcome.

Now, everyone who knows a bit of electricity (if not, ask any friend)
can made it's cronopic for a really cheap price.

Also, note that in the linked page it says that this Chronopic is not
validated, but this is not true, becouse it uses our firmware
(validated) and it works. We will change this info also in next days.

For writting the firmware in the Chronopic, you need a PIC recorder.
Ask any electricity in your town, or do as Juan Fernando has done, and
made yourself following this instructions (spanish)

estabamos usando una Skypic con una tarjeta de expansión y el firmware
de Chronopic. El sistema funcionaba, pero tenía más tecnología de la
que necesitábamos, y es cara para algunos países.

Juan Fernando ha creado una placa Chronopic sóplo con los componentes
necesarios para el Chronopic. La construyó sólo en una hora, y el
precio total es de 22 US$ (en Argentina). Estos 22US$ se dividen en 18
para el PIC, y 4 para el resto. Nótese que los componentes son
estándares y debe poder ser fabricada en cualquier país.

En el futuro se crfeará un diseño industrial de dicha placa. Cualquier
ayuda en este tema será bien recibida.

Ahora, cualquiera que tenga un ligero conocimiento de electricidad en
caso contrario, buscar un conocido) puede tener una Chronopic por un
precio realmente barato.

Debo comentar tambiém que en la página enlazada se indica que esta
Chronopic no está validada, petro esto no es verdad, proque usa
nuestro firmware (validado) y funciona. Esta información errónea la
cambiaremos también en los próximos días.

Para escribir el firmware en el Chronopic, se necesita un grabador de
PICs. Preguntar sobre esto en cualquier tienda de electricidad, o,
tambien podéis construiros vuestro propio grabadore -tal y como ha
hecho Juan Fernando- siguiendo estas instrucciones:
