That got me ahead of glib error and now I see:

configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-3.0 >= 3.11.6

   librsvg-2.0 >= 2.32.0

   clutter-gtk-1.0 >= 0.91.8

   libcanberra-gtk3 >= 0.26

   gudev-1.0

   gnome-video-effects) were not met:

Requested 'gtk+-3.0 >= 3.11.6' but version of GTK+ is 3.10.8

I read that currently its not possible to compile cheese 3.12.* onwards on Ubuntu: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/cheese-list/2014-May/msg00001.html 

Is this correct? or can I do something to get ahead of this?
