None of these libraries are part of the standard Ubuntu packages
except the gstreamer and that is version 0.10 which is wrong i
believe. Is there a ppa, or an easy way to get all of these, or are
they even necessary

Yes, I'm afraid they are necessary for building cheese master. Newest
versions of Ubuntu should ship those libraries. I use debian and I can
find those packages in unstable and/or experimental.

One option is using jhbuild, https://wiki.gnome.org/Jhbuild.
