Building on CentOS 5

Running CentOS 5.2 on x86_64. Yes, it's really old, but it's the best
choice for the way I work.
There is no way I can update all the dependencies to build the current
release. Can anyone estimate which working release I can use to build
from source in CentOS? There seems to be no SRPMs or RH clone packages
in my range.
My version of Gtk2 is 2.10
Glib 2.12
Gstreamer 0.10.9
Librsvg 2.16
etc.
