Fellow gnome-pim hackers:
After consulting with the other maintainers (and having gotten
resounding abstentions from the vote), I've decided to make a stable
release of our current development code in the near future.
Accordingly, a feature freeze seems appropriate: if you have patches
to apply, please do so before 23:59 EST Sunday, February 5...
I don't anticipate the freeze being particularly lengthy, since the
current code base seems relatively stable (I've been using it
continuously for the last few months with few if any problems), but I
would, of course, appreciate help in killing as many of the
outstanding bugs as possible before a 1.2 release. As always, if you
see bugs, please report them to the BTS.
If anyone objects to the freeze/release plan, please e-mail me ASAP;
I actually do have something of a rationale for this (which I earlier
sent to the maintainers), so if people are curious, I'd be happy to
discuss it with them. For now, though, I need to go to class. :)
Happy Hacking!
