Just in case people misinterpret this, this is strictly about 1.2.0,
which is the first release of the 1.2 series.

Today is the last day we will be including anything in 1.2.0, bugfixes
which do not compromise API stability of 1.2 will continue to be
backported and included in the following bugfix releases 1.2.1, 1.2.2,
etc - so if there is a fix or a bug that is particularly important to
you, don't worry; we will still be addressing these in the micro point
releases which follow during this cycle.
