Genie is not a very popular language in GNOME for whatever reasons. That 
makes it a pretty hard target for us in Builder.

I don't see any reason that a highlighter couldn't be added to 
GtkSourceView. Maybe you could create one starting with python.lang as a 
base? Although, the I would talk to people on the #gedit IRC channel to 
check with them. They maintain GtkSourceView.
