I just read Google's policy on contributing. I can contribute as long as I get patches approved by the open source office and after a few they may give me wider discretion. As such I'm changing my mailing list e-mail to my work e-mail.
Standard disclaimer - I'm not promising I will have any time to contribute actual code but I will try to find time as I think this project is worth it (not in the least that it could effectively improve my own coding productivity).
I can also help you navigate the GNOME Foundation's finance structure if you wanted to fund a hackfest at some point.
