I see, still the point here is why we need that hack to make it work if
pwlib is being installed nicely. 

These are the kind of things that make building Gnome difficult,
specially for newcomers, and I think we should try to avoid them when
possible. I'll try to take a look at this during this week and check
what's going on there.
