Hey again,
notes on the flac branch state:
* Some small typo/etc fixes can be merged right away.
* The branch needs rebasing against recent devel.
* Error handling needs testing/implementation for flac error handlers.
* Rename internal "read" method to "read_data" or similar that doesn't
resemble READ(2)
* Implement saving of flac files.
* FUTURE: automatically use flac to save WAV files.
Rebasing is the biggest part that blocks merging into devel.
