Yay. Don't worry about 2.9.0 we have time before the big exciting 3.0 release which is what distributions should be expected to ship in their stable channels where technically possible.

Hi Andres (and list).

I was wondering what happened with the mailing list, thank you for clearing up the situation.

I would not be so worried about the state of our Appdata details for 2.9.0. 3.0 is on the horizon but still far enough away to ensure the likelihood of tremendous progress in leveraging this new standard to its fullest given developer and platform interest being present on both sides of this.

Also our hackfest is coming up next week. Surely we can use that to put some effort, eager developers and a requirement to shout about it as loudly as we want. 

I was planing to make AppData in Banshee my project for next weeks hackfest since interest had been non-existent so far and the task sounded like low hanging fruit for budding contributors. 

Now I will have more time for documentation work which I feel ashamed at not polishing up a bit and putting it up. Fewer items on that Clear list to feel bad about :).

I'd still love to look at Appdata a little closer though so I will probably ask annoying questions over coffee or otherwise bum you out and distract you from hacking.. As always really..
