[Banshee-List] What is Banshee actually able to do? Not sure if I've got a problem or just need to install more package

I'm new to Banshee and I'm running it on xubuntu 13.04. I'm trying to play
youtube stuff and also *.mov video files, neither works and I figure they
are probably related.

When I select youtube videos to play in banshee, I thought it would play the
video, but I only get the sound. Is that right?

When I click on the *.mov files, I get nothing but a skip to the next file.
I ran it from the command line and got this error:

[1 Debug 18:07:55.264] OnEventChanged called with StartOfStream. Replacing
current_track with pending_track: "angel_lg"
[1 Debug 18:07:55.305] (libbanshee:player) bp_stop: setting state to

I copied the video off a music cd - it was one of those freebies on the
music cd contained on a data partition.

I've got these gstreamer plugins installed, which I think should cover
everything:

adam gondor:~$ dpkg --get-selections |grep gstreamer |grep plugins
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse install
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base:amd64 install
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base:i386 install
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-apps install
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good:amd64 install
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good:i386 install
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly:amd64 install
gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad:amd64 install
gstreamer1.0-plugins-base:amd64 install
gstreamer1.0-plugins-good:amd64 install
gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly:amd64 install
libgstreamer-plugins-bad0.10-0:amd64 install
libgstreamer-plugins-bad1.0-0:amd64 install
libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0:amd64 install
libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0:i386 install
libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0:amd64 install
libgstreamer-plugins-good1.0-0:amd64 install

Also Banshee at some point earlier popped up a dialog box and said mono
wanted a certain plugin but couldn't get it. It doesn't say that anymore -
maybe it got it? I'm not sure. I can't see whether it's ubuntu automatically
managing it or whether it's banshee on its own.
