I did it with a dozen tracks and it took a few seconds to complete. I 
thought you might have tried the other method already, but as I just 
found out that it worked through the GUI then I thought it might be 
useful as a record for others in future if nothing else.

As for the time difference, I suspect that is an optimisation thing. 
Right-clicking probably (and this is a guess) loops through and runs a 
query for each one individually, where as the sqlite query updates 
everything in one go.
