Thank you for your time. I have uninstalled banshee and tried to re-install and it still does it. So I uninstalled it again. I have tried other media players to, same thing happens. Also if I want to watch a video on the web it also is on fast forward. I am lost. When I boot up the screen go fast I will try and figure that out. Again thank you for your help. : )

When you boot your machine up, what does the splash screen show? The distro usually identifies itself then. Alternatively if you can look for an accessories menu usually under applications-> accessories, you will find an app named "terminal " once you launch that app follow the link David sent then type the appropriate commands and upload the results here. My last suggestion would be to uninstall banshee from your computer and install it again. Now I can't give you direct instructions because Linux has so much variety and I have no idea what you are running on your machine, please be patient troubleshooting can be a pain.
