Just as simple as typing : rm -rf $HOME/.config/banshee-1 ;) Xavy On 12/06/12 21:54, Jonathan Sherry wrote:
where would I find the database? Or how do I delete the $HOME/.config/banshee-1 directory using terminal? I am a terminal noob. Right now the debug log is somewhat taylored for linux systems so not of much use to me. I will see if i can put more debug OS X specific information in the OS X backend in future (alpha) releases and then contact you again? Error says it all, when you ran the 2.4.1 version of banshee the DB got upgraded and is not incompatible to older versions. I am no pro here, maybe sb. else know how to convert it. Deleting the database or your whole $HOME/.config/banshee-1 directory will fix that for sure.at Banshee.Database.BansheeDbFormatMigrator.Migrate () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. at System.Reflection.MonoCMethod.Invoke (System.Object obj, BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Reflection.MonoCMethod.Invoke (BindingFlags invokeAttr, System.Reflection.Binder binder, System.Object[] parameters, System.Globalization.CultureInfo culture) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Reflection.ConstructorInfo.Invoke (System.Object[] parameters) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Activator.CreateInstance (System.Type type, Boolean nonPublic) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Activator.CreateInstance (System.Type type) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Banshee.Gui.GtkBaseClient.Startup () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Hyena.Gui.CleanRoomStartup.Startup (Hyena.Gui.StartupInvocationHandler startup) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 .NET Version: 2.0.50727.1433 OS Version: Unix 11.3.0.0 Assembly Version Information: System.Configuration (2.0.0.0) dbus-sharp-glib (1.0.0.0) dbus-sharp (1.0.0.0) System.Xml (2.0.0.0) Banshee.Core (2.2.0.0) Hyena.Data.Sqlite (2.2.0.0) gdk-sharp (2.12.0.0) Mono.Addins (0.6.0.0) atk-sharp (2.12.0.0) Hyena.Gui (2.2.0.0) Mono.Posix (2.0.0.0) gtk-sharp (2.12.0.0) Hyena (2.2.0.0) System (2.0.0.0) System.Core (3.5.0.0) glib-sharp (2.12.0.0) Banshee.Services (2.2.0.0) Banshee.ThickClient (2.2.0.0) Nereid (2.2.0.0) mscorlib (2.0.0.0) Platform Information: Disribution Information:Timo Dörr <mailto:timo latecrew de> June 7, 2012 11:15 PM Am 06.06.2012, 21:08 Uhr, schrieb Jonathan Sherry <alexhunter27 yahoo com>: Are you using the 2.2.1 release for os-x from the banshee download page or an older version? I've recently published an experimental 2.4.1 release for OS X, would be nice if you try that, too: https://live.gnome.org/SummerOfCode2012/Projects/TimoDoerr_Banshee_MacOSX#Get_latest_pre-build_alpha_.app-Bundle_for_Mac As with the 2.2.1 and 2.4.1 releases, I can't reproduce that. I use a macbook with 2 internal hard drives and can import media from the 2nd hdd via the /Volumes/ folder - same as I use to import music from network shares via AFP/SMB. To clearify, any external hard drive will NOT pop-up as a "removeable media" device in the left pane as you may know it from linux banshee. If you want to import media from usb drives or network shares on OS X, select from the Menu: Media -> Import Media -> Local folder. In the File-Open Dialog, select "File system" in the left pane, and then "Volumes" in the right (filesystem) pane. Inside the "Volumes" folder you should see all external drives, your CD drive, and network shares. You can then select any of them for adding (or choose subfolders from them). If anything does not work please feel free to post to this list. Greetz Timo Jonathan Sherry <mailto:alexhunter27 yahoo com> June 6, 2012 10:08 PM Thanks for allowing me to join. I love the concept of Banshee and would love to switch from itunes. However I have a problem. I cannot seem to get Banshee to see any external hard drive. I have a 13" Macbook Pro running osx 10.7.3 Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also cannot join the forum I keep getting the message that my validation code is incorrect. Any ideas? Thanks Jonathan Sorry for the different email address, I seem to be having difficulty with my smtp server. _______________________________________________ banshee-list mailing list banshee-list gnome org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/banshee-list (unsubscribe here)_______________________________________________ banshee-list mailing list banshee-list gnome org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/banshee-list (unsubscribe here)
