Hi all,
In a very nearby future Banshee 2.2.1 will be available to openSUSE
users as a maintenance update, since it fixes at least 2 important
bugs for openSUSE users (bnc#727999)[1]. This bug report also flags my
last action regarding openSUSE contributing, which include the Banshee
repositories for openSUSE.
The current layout of the Banshee repositories give you a time-frame
of 6 months to find someone who can maintain them, since the
Banshee:Unstable repository links the packages from GNOME:Apps (which
is the development project for openSUSE:Factory) and I suppose will
continue to be maintained by the GNOME contributors. The stable
repository needs to be maintained for stable releases.
I will keep working on Banshee:EL6 for Enterprise Linux and Mono:EL6
to provide Mono, though I'm abandoning any *SUSE* activity.
