Not sure about that. The /usr/lib/pkgconfig/*.pc need to be moved
or otherwise you need PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
With --prefix=/usr all looks neat:
%defattr(-,root,root)
/etc/mono
/usr/bin/*
/usr/include/mono-2.0
/usr/lib/lib*
/usr/lib/mono*
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/*.pc
%doc /usr/share/libgc-mono
/usr/share/locale/*/LC_MESSAGES/mcs.mo
%doc /usr/share/man/man1/*
%doc /usr/share/man/man5/*.5.gz
/usr/share/mono-2.0
Mono-2.10.2 needs a patch according to my own .spec
(I have a LFS-like system)
