[Banshee-List] iPod Problem

I'm not sure if this problem has been covered or not, but I skimmed the first
4 pages and didn't see anything like my problem.  
Basically, just downloaded Banshee last night, and started getting all of my
music from my iPod, and it seems all the music has,been imported properly. 
I can't find a folder with all the music, but its playing through the media
player, even when the ipod has been ejected, and disconnected.
The problem is though, its that I can't seem to sync my iPod with banshee. 
Because it seems to be too busy losing music from the iPod.   And when I
look at the device properties, it seems to know everything about my iPod,
except for the fact that its an iPod. It has all the info correct except it
says "unknown" when it comes to device type.
If it helps, my ipod is the 160gb kind, with the 2.04 firmware on it. 
 I'm thinking I might need to downgrade the firmware, but I wanted to double
check before I did anything like that.
