OK, then I'll ask the obvious question: Why? Source total is useful
information to have at a glance (I realize that it's still available in
the status bar, but only when the source is selected). It makes it easy
to see if a drag and drop to a device got all the songs, or to see
approximately how much of my library is on a device, etc. It doesn't
clutter the interface, since, as you point out, it's still there for
podcasts and playlists. I suppose I could make a smart playlist of my
whole library so that I'd always have the total in the source panel, but
shouldn't the previous behavior at least be available as an option in
the preferences? Thanks,
Todd Wilson
