Hello Banshee Community,
My name is Brandon Sheppard and I am a C.S. undergrad at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. I am currently enrolled in a software engineering course in which the goal of the course is for students to become involved with and contribute to an open source project. Our group has chosen your Banshee project. A member from our group, Jesse Snider, has already sent out an email to the community and we have received a welcoming response. We are very appreciative for all of your feedback we have received, especially since we are new to the open source scene, and would like to extend our thanks!
As a part of this ongoing project, we were assigned a little triage duty on the Banshee bugs list. We were asked to pick a bug report, or two, and try to make it as useful as possible to the project developers. If the report was lacking info request more, try to reproduce the error and add to the report details, find duplicate bugs and mark as duplicate and other things like these. When reading through the bugs list I did come across a few suggestions I would like to do something about. Since I am new to the project and do not know the project's triage guidelines, I just want to run my thoughts by the project leads before acting upon any of these bug reports.
For each case listed below, I would like to either close it if not a legitimate request or make the easy changes in order to implement the request. I am hoping this will make my professor happy! I have listed the links to the �bugs� (requests) below and brief description of my course of action.

The user would like better descriptive text when logging into a Last.fm account. I was going to post on his bug report to inform him of the dialog box that pops up when you mouse over the login button displays almost the exact information he is requesting and then close if appropriate. Unless you feel this is a needed change then I would be happy to look into this.

The user would like a better description in the dialog box that is displayed as you mouse over the 'Simplify' button in the Now Playing pane. Not sure this change is necessary, but the dialog could be a bit more descriptive. Again if you like, I would be happy to make this change If not, I could follow-up with the user and close if necessary.

The user would like the text 'Transferring' removed from the podcast download progress that appears in the sidebar. This is an easy fix although I am not sure whether it is necessary either. I do experience the same issue as this user. Maybe replacing 'Transferring' with a shorter word (although nothing comes to mind) or stacking it on top of the 'x of y files at...' text would be a feasible solution. Removing it, as the user suggested, is an option as well. Again, I can make the change or follow-up and close if you like.
I know these contributions are very small and simple but everyone needs to start somewhere right?
