@mental mouse, you may want to try updating to Banshee 2.2+. Banshee uses MusicBrainz to find metadata for audio CDs, and they recently changed the way they receive requests, which broke the metadata lookup in Banshee. This should be fixed in version 2.2 and later.
@earp, if you're still running into a lot of "unknown albums" (especially for common albums) in Banshee 2.2.1, you may want to open a new bug report. More instructions are available here: http://banshee.fm/file-bugs
Be sure to include the output generated by running "banshee --debug" when you insert a CD.
