The problem seems to be related to your HTTP proxy configuration.
Do you have any proxy configured ? If yes, does it require authentication ?
Running "banshee --debug" from the command line might show additional
information, such as what Banshee thinks our proxy configuration is.

Downgrading from Banshee 2.0 to 1.6.1 is not supported, and can lead
to several kind of issues, as you have noticed in your latest post.
