[Banshee-List] Mount arbitrary folder as media player?

Is there a way to mount an arbitrary folder as a media player? I've been
having trouble getting my Motorola Xoom to connect via MTP (as per
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=647506), but I can run an FTP
server on the device and transfer things that way, and so it would be
convenient if I could point Banshee at the gvfs folder created for that
server. If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this, I'd appreciate it.
