Hello all,
I really like Banshee to manage my music, but when it comes to Podcasts and Audiobooks, it doesn't do what I expect. Here is my situation:
- I own a Apple Clasic iPod 120G
- I can manage my music with no problems
- When I try to either Drag&Drop or Sync podcasts, the podcasts appear in a Playlist as music, they do not show up under the Podcast section of the iPod menu
- When I try to Sync the podcasts, it "syncs" all the episodes listed, even those that are not downloaded
- If I try to play any of the podcasts on the iPod, they will not play, even from Banshee
With the audiobooks it is different:
- I have *.m4b files in a directory. Banshee does not see those files
- I put mp3's, ogg files in the same directory for Audiobooks and Banshee fails to see them
- If I just take the m4b files and drag them to the iPod, they don't show in Audiobooks, I have to look for them in Genders-->Spoken Word
This is what I have installed:
banshee 1.8.0-1ubuntu1~hyper1+maverick Media Management and Playback application
banshee-extension-soundmenu 1.8.0-1ubuntu1~hyper1+maverick SoundMenu extension for Banshee
banshee-extensions-common 1.8.0-1ubuntu1~hyper1+maverick common files for banshee-community-extensions
Ubuntu 10.10, Kernel 2.6.35-22-generic
Is Banshee working as it is supposed to, am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with Banshee and podcasts?
Thanks,
JL
