Your problem seems related to GStreamer and liborc.
I remember people having similar issues that were cause by some bad
GStreamer RPM packages that did not depend on the right version of
liborc.
Could you check that your gstreamer and liborc packages are coming
from the standard Ubuntu 10.10 repositories ? Maybe you have a PPA
that's bringing packages causing your issues ?
