Hello everyone,
I am really enjoying Banshee, but there is one thing that I would like to
have. I would like to create a randomized playlist and have Banshee play
it.
Now, you may ask; "Why not just have Banshee play it with Shuffle on?"
Because Banshee has a tendency to play the same artists over and over. Let
me explain.
I have a playlist of over 2500 songs. In that list there is about 80 Led
Zeppelin tracks, 30+ Neko Case tracks, 60+ Black Keys and one track by
Phoenix. In an average session of say, three hours I will hear about 18
tracks an hour +/- 3 songs. That's about 54 songs. In that session Banshee
will play about 6 Led Zeppelin tracks, 3 Neko Case tracks and 4 to 5 Black
Keys songs. This is in a selection of over 2500 songs!!! This happens
every session.
The names of the bands may change, but the tendency to play certain
artists more than others happens every time! It may be lots-o-Zeppelin one
day, then tons-o-Beatles the next. This drives me nuts.
What I would like is to have a playlist created and have Banshee only
play each track once, without any weighting, in a random order. How can I
do this? If I can't, WHY NOT?!? :)
Thanks,
RMFlagg
