Hi Dan,

This was a bad bug that hit lots of people - see
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=611128

It was fixed a couple days after 1.5.4 was released.  We just released
1.5.5 yesterday (though we're working on packaging it and announcing
it - probably within a few hours).  So either wait for that, or update
to the git master version.
