Hey, glad you're enjoying Banshee so far.  Have you looked in Edit > Preferences > Source Specific [tab] > Music?  I haven't personally done what you're trying to do, but from there you should be able to change the Music library folder.  If your network location isn't in the drop-down list, you might be able to find it if you choose "other" and browse for it.

Again, this is only theoretical since I haven't actually tried it, but I hope it helps,

desktops on the LAN via a mapped drive. So all the music was stored on
another desktop, but iTunes would access the mapped drive to play music,
sync, and etc -- and everytime I would add new music it would automatically
consolidate it to the mapped drive. This saved me from taking up valuable
space on my laptop with music.

Now I've been playing around with Banshee and I can't figure out how I would
set this up. I Do have the network set up with Linux, I can mount shared
folders from my desktops on the laptop, but I can't see how to have Banshee
use these mounted folders as the music library?

Anyone know how to make this work?

If I'm leaving out some pertinent information just let me know and I'll
provide it as soon as possible.
