[Banshee-List] banshee not synchronising with iPod

I am running Banshee 1.6 on Mandriva Spring2010.1

it has suddenly stopped being able to synchronise with my iPod - it was fine
until I tried transferring a file recorded from a radio source which was not
complete (I didn;t realise this at first, but the computer hadn't recorded
the whole file) - I got an error message from Banshee

since then Banshee appears to transfer and delete tracks on my iPod but does
not complete synchronising, even if I leave it all night

any ideas how I can rectify this would be appreciated - up till now Banshee
was perfect for managing my iPod from my Linux computer - very frustrating
now!!!
