I'm just going from memory, because I'm at work and I don't have Banshee in front of me right now, but I think if you go to Media > Import, you can pick an option like "Import from iTunes" from the drop-down menu. You'll probably have to point it to either the iTunes database file, or the xml file -- I'm not sure which one -- but then it will scan through your Banshee library and try to match up the songs. But again, I haven't done this personally, and I'm not sure if it does anything with playlists. Anyway, it shouldn't hurt to try it out... good luck!

Thanks.
I exported from iTunes a playlist called Library.xml but Banshee
doesn't recognize the file when I try to import it from my drive.
By "recognize" I mean it the xml file doesn't appear as a choice for
importing.

Banshee has a built-in iTunes importer. I know that
it is capable of importing things like ratings and playcounts, but
I'm not sure about playlists and smart playlists... I'm also not
entirely sure how it works, because it was added after I'd already
switched from iTunes to Banshee. Hopefully someone around here
will be able to help you out, though. :)
