If your device supports AAC, then Banshee won't transcode the files.
If it doesn't, but does support MP3, then if you have an MP3 encoder
installed, Banshee should automatically transcode the aac to mp3.
Consult Google or your distro's help/community for how to get an MP3
encoder.
