Hey all!
I've slowly come to realize how important it can be to bug reporters
to get a response - almost any response - to their bug reports, and
ideally quickly. It shows that people are listening, that this new
fangled system they just signed up for works, that people care, etc.
In the past I would avoid commenting on bugs unless I was specifically
trying to drive them toward a resolution. But there is a lot of value
in just acknowledging receipt of the bug, that it sounds like a
reasonable and reasonably complete report, that you're sympathetic,
etc.
With that in mind, feel free to acknowledge bugs yourself! You can
get e-mailed every time a new Banshee bug is filed, or you can just
browse the list of unconfirmed bugs. I've updated
http://banshee-project.org/contribute/help-with-bug-reports/ with
information and links for doing that.
You don't need to be a developer or any special status within the
Banshee community to help with this. You, today, in 3 minutes, can
make a Banshee bug reporter feel heard and valued.
Happy bug hunting and reporter acknowledging!
Gabriel
