I don't think iFolder (probably being file based) would resolve
changes at the database level.

Same reason you wouldn't try to sync your Firefox bookmarks or your
Evolution database with it.

It sounds like couchdb might be the answer for those cases.. at least if I am to believe the ubuntu developer crowd though I haven't looked into it myself
