I thought about the smart playlist
functions; but that limits me to either ALL unplayed songs, or specific
groups. For instance, I have a smart playlist that is comprised of three different genres. So that smart playlist has to be defined to show ANY of the following criteria - if I add "play count is under zero" to that playlist, it then shows my entire unplayed library. Instead of the unplayed within that smart playlist. The other option would be to define the playlist to show ALL of the following criteria - which is then nothing. There would have to be an overall shuffle function, like "Shuffle by Play Count" to serve this feature. If I select my 3 genre smart playlist, I can shuffle that according to Song, Album, Artist, Rating, and Score... how about play count? :) Perhaps, there's not enough of a need for this... and that's why it hasn't come up before... A shuffle priority schedule - so you can select to favor songs or artists that have not been played before. I guess you could even just add a selection to "Shuffle by play count" and favor zero or lower values. Hopefully this makes sense. If this is already a current feature request, please point me to that area so I can track it. Otherwise, I'd be happy to take the time to fill out the necessary bug report to request it.
