Hi, I'm running ubuntu with banshee 1.4.3. Recently got a blackberry 8900
curve and it shows up in Banshee as "RIM composite device" which is fine by
me. It lets me add music fine with no problems and correctly identifies the
folders to store media on the blackberry,
BlackBerry/music/
BlackBerry/videos/
My problem is that when adding m4a audio files banshee transcodes the files
to MP3 even though my device will quite happily play the files when added
manually via nautilus. Its a similar story for video but banshee cant find a
transcoder so fails to add .avi & .wmv files to my device despite them
working fine and playing when transfered via nautilus. I get the error
"The avi format is not supported by the device, and no converter was found
to convert it"
Is there anyway I can force banshee to transfer these file formats without
attempting conversion ?
Thanks for any help - Matt
