Currently the Browser matches against Artist and not Album Artist. Which has become more of an issue since Album Artist support has matured... multiple artist albums are condensed in the Album view now but not in the Artist view. The ability to customize the views is something Gabriel Burt has mentioned he would like to have for 1.6.
