Every modification deserves a patch ! ;) In fact, the patch in http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=563403 already adds a %album_artist% pattern, amongst other things. But IMHO, it still has some issues. A patch only adding %album_artist% might be easier to get in. But it will have to wait until after the 1.4.2 release (should be coming soon).
