That's the problem. I tried following the guide, but the section where you add the key doesn't work. I tried adding the GUI tool that is used but it won't run in Mint.

Ubuntu and Mint are very similar. You should be able to use the Ubuntu
packages from the PPA without issues. I'm not sure how to add 3rd party
repositories in Mint though. You'll have to figure that out yourself, or
look for a Mint-specific guide. The PPA is here:
