Feature suggestion/idea:
If I have imported all of a band's CDs into my music library, and they
release a "Greatest Hits" CD that contains songs that I already have, it
would be nice if, instead of adding this CD to my library and
duplicating the tracks, I could create a playlist that would show up in
the UI under the artist like an album, rather than indented under the
Music Library like a playlist. More generally, or perhaps
alternatively, it might be nice if the Music Library could contain
"symbolic links" that would cut down on various instances of
duplication: two instances of the same track on different albums could
have different metadata but refer to the same file in the filesystem. I
also wonder whether it would be possible to discover such instances of
duplication, either during a library scan or an import, and give the
user the option to share the tracks (track-by-track with checkboxes),
thereby saving disk (and iPod?) space.
