Add the Banshee Team PPA's sources:
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/banshee-team/ubuntu hardy main

Then: sudo apt-get build-dep banshee-1

Then, build

This seems to be a quite common problem, getting dependencies for building banshee, maybe we should have a wikipage detailing this step for each distro (till PackageKit hopefully provides us with a solution that works uniformly). That way it would save some agony and the developers would need to link it when requesting such testing.
