First - you might should make a note on the "download" page that using "yum
install" will not give you 1.2.1, nor even 1.2 (I think). Unless I'm
missing something, we still do not have a Fedora rpm packager for the new
builds.
Second - I installed 1.2 when it came out, but haven't gotten around to
doing 1.2.1 until today. I'm getting this error when I run ./configure:
[root localhost banshee-1-1.2.1]# ./configure
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking target system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /bin/mkdir -p
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking how to create a ustar tar archive... gnutar
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
checking for style of include used by make... GNU
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl.exe... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
Still a long way off from being a linux pro, so when I hit something out of
the ordinary I just stall... sorry. Any help?
