[Banshee-List] Transition from Banshee to banshee-1

In general, I like the look and feel of the new media player very much
in Ubuntu. Just a couple of points:

1) Though Banshee picks up my Windows formatted 5th gen iPod video, so
far it does not display any of the playlists I've created in gtkpod.
Banshee music player had no trouble showing playlists, on the same
computer/same OS/same installation. I'd be delighted to create
playlists in Banshee, but got a warning flag that they would not be
saved if I did so. It simply displays everything on the iPod, track by
track, and by "album." Which leads me to the other point/question:

2) I wonder if there is or will be a way to get Banshee to not see
single songs as albums? For instance, it's displaying the soundtrack
from the movie "The Departed" as 12 albums -- because it's a
compilation, w/ 12 different artists. I presume Banshee might "get it"
if I were ripping from a retail CD, but with downloaded material it's
missing the boat.

That's it for now -- thanks in advance for all useful advice. And
thanks for everyone's work on the most promising open source media
player.
