[Banshee-List] Banshee crashes with "An unhandled exception was thrown: SQL logic error or missing database"

I upgraded my Ubuntu to Intrepid and Banshee crashed with error: "Exception
has been thrown by the target of an invocation". I'll include the whole
detail but suffice it to say that I have tried everything I have found on
this and other forums, deleting the banshee files in ~/.config and ~/.gconf
but upon restarting Banshee the files get recreated and the error occurs
again.
I purged Banshee and installed Banshee-1 from source and the error remains.
Attached is the whole error form the error dialog followed by the terminal
output:
