As installed, Xubuntu 8.04 has available a very old version of Banshee. This runs, but complains about Dbus being missing when it starts.
I installed the latest banshee-1 following the instructions on the Banshee site and it wouldn't launch at all, complaining about missing Dbus stuff.
Can I run Banshee on Xubuntu? How?
