library = music you've chosen to add to it
how about you download music to a "downloads folder", then drag it to banshee, with the option enabled to copy it to your music folder
then delete from your downloads folder

That's pretty standard music player behavior (not to add to library

No it's not, Library=the music that you have.
If you open the song, it means you have it.
So it should be in the library..

Im 'worrying myself' over this because this is something that will cause me
to switch to another player.
I download music to my /My music folder, then i start my music player and
search for the artist to play it.
Now I can't play the new music via Banshee unless i re-add the folder, so
i'll have to go the new folder via Nautilus.
Do you expect people to remember what music they haven't added to their
library yet?
If i want to keep using the Banshee Library, i'll have to be like: "Oh, i've
downloaded 1 new song, in this folder..lets add this folder to Banshee"
Sorry for my rant, and it's a good thing it's coming in 1.4.
So what happened to this?:
