I upgraded to Banshee version 0.13.1, but still no luck getting it to work with my iPod Shuffle Second Generation (the clip-on Shuffle). So I tried other ipod programs. gtkpod worked. It uses libgpod.
gtkpod use /mnt/ipod, so I made a symbolic link from /media/IPOD to /mnt/ipod. Then gtkpod prompted me to select which iPod I was using, so I chose Sixth Generation > iPod Shuffle 1GB.
Banshee doesn't have an iPod selection feature. There must be a difference between the different iPods. I don't know who to report this to, so I'm posting it here.
I would like to use Banshee for my iPod music management because I love the program, but for now I will have to use gtkpod for my iPod synchronization. I hope that Banshee will work with my iPod Shuffle soon.
Best wishes to the Banshee Development Team!
