just open "gconf-editor" and uncheck "/apps/banshee/plugins/mirage/enabled".

Does banshee (gstreamer) crash too when you play this song?

I was wondering if there is a way to start Banshee in a safe mode or
disable feature X through the command line? If there isn't, I think that
should be a feature in the next release...
