gstreamer applied to Gsoc2007 and wants to promote any project based on gstreamer.

This actually sounds quite reasonable, but I think this should be a
completely separate app that would handle the syncing, Banshee and/or
F-spot could only implement some basic capabilities. I don't have it
straight in my head yet, though... If I will come up with something,
I'll definitely write here.
