Banshee well decodes AAC with faad package on Ubuntu.
But don't expect to encode, faac doesn't work and it is not roadmap to make
it work.
So I encode on my professional Windows computer, and then import AAC in
Banshee at home.
But I think Banshee and others don't support AAC with DRM.

I just installed Banshee (via yum) on Fedora Core 5, but it wont let

I believe you need the gstreamer-faad package installed.
